"Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church.." Martin Luther
God is good. All the time.
Yesterday I wrote about my struggle with church going. And then I prayed like I said I would. And I went to night service at a new church.
And it was wonderful. And I knew. Knew that this was God's plan. That He had answered my prayers. That He had met me where I was.
The sermon was just what I needed. Exactly. And even what was spoken on was confirmation to my struggle.
How many prayers does He answer every day that I fail to notice?
I love when He opens my eyes. And I pray for continual sight.
Counting:
Words, spoken and unspoken
Answered prayer
Hearing God
Confirmations
birthdays
homemade anything
boys reading
girls playing

I had a great sermon this Sunday, Forgive and then not bring it up again.
ReplyDeleteYay! Rejoicing with you, Nicole! <3
ReplyDeleteI just love when He gives this way. Sometimes, when I struggle with church, I just need that affirmation that He understands. And like a good parent, He provides. Wondering with you...how many times do I miss it too?
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteInspiring!
ReplyDeleteLate visiting from MYM, hope you can still visit the Mellow Yellow at my page when you get a chance.
I'm so happy you had a good experience at the new church! That makes me so thankful for our God who knows just what we need.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel. We broke from a church and found one that is amazing. The teaching is second to none and the music is awesome. Love you quote and photo. Hope you experience God in new ways at your new church home.
ReplyDeleteOur family went through a similar battle. We then found a new church and we now feel like we are going "home" when we go there every Sunday. I no longer have to drag my kids there as they go voluntarily and happily.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and good on you!
Natasha.
