Beyond this day, I can't see.So, I may as well live in the moment.
Always, I rush frantic, feel frenzied, but why? How fruitless is that? I feel as though I make up stress at times.
So I'm practicing looking at the moments and not beyond.
Do I have to do this right now? Yes, so do it. No? Then don't worry about it for now.
When I look beyond, even to the very next thing, I can't enjoy what I'm doing now.
He who knows the number of hairs on my head knows my to-do list. If I hand it over He is well able to aid me in prioritizing and accomplishing.

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." -Matthew 6: 25-30

ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that whenever something comes up in my life that needs addressed I can go to Spiritual Sundays and find not just one blog to fit my need, but several. Yours is such a one. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod must be speaking to me about worry. This is the second time I've read those verses. I never thought about God knowing my to-do list but that encourages me. I'm ready to break up with my stress, too!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to break up with my stres too. lol. Great capture. Thanks so much for joining us for the Shades of Autumn Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI like that "dear stress, let's break up." Stress is the number one cause of physcial illness. It can also sicken our spirits. Thanks for a great and useful post. God bless. Bobbi
ReplyDeleteGood advice but not easy to follow. It's always good to "break up" with stress. With God all things are possible.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte
This is excellent advice but I often have trouble letting go on my own doubts. I try harder to trust the Lord. He is so good. Thank you for the reminder today. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteVery nice post - Looking at now only and enjoying the minute. He is the ONE who knows everything, sure we should pause and not worry, He will help us achieve our wishes and dreams.
ReplyDeleteVery good advice and so nicely written as always. Take care.
So glad, Sherry, that you found me.
ReplyDeletePamela, so happy God is speaking to you of the same thing.
